Workday Candidate Profile: when it arrives and what it fills

Workday's Candidate Profile, announced October 13, 2026, lets job seekers apply on Workday sites without creating a new account (you sign in with your email and a one-time code) and prefills about 80% of standard application fields: contact information, work history, education and skills. Workday expects it to be generally available to Workday Recruiting customers in early calendar year 2027. Employer-specific questions are still answered by you on each application.

What it saves

Your contact information, work history, education and skills, entered once and reused on Workday applications. Workday says you can edit anything, or add an answer for that employer, before you submit.

How signing in works

Instead of a new account and password for each company, you sign in with your email address and a one-time code.

What stays manual

Questions specific to an employer. Workday's own example is how you heard about the role; employers' screening questions stay on their applications.

When, and what isn't known yet

Workday expects general availability to Workday Recruiting customers in early calendar year 2027. The announcement does not name employers or say whether each employer has to switch it on. Source: Workday's press release of October 13, 2026, on newsroom.workday.com.

Until it arrives

Every Workday employer still means a new account and the same work history typed again. Our Workday application autofill page covers what to do in the meantime, and formdone fills those forms, asking you only for what it doesn't already know.
